They're good apps and plugins, but they never did learn how to tidy things up with the support files.Īlso note that as from mid-August they're moving to a subscription model for updates too. You can have a bit of fun locating all the plugins too, some are easily found, others you'll need to use the 'Show Package Contents' option. They never did really get to grips with standardising the way they do stuff, updating was always a bit of a pain, as some apps updated automatically, some didn't, and some had to be downloaded and copied across. #TOPAZ SIMPLIFY PLUGIN PHOTOSHOP INSTALL#
I too run Photoshop CC 2020, but on a Mac Is the install program at fault? That's what I did, and it didn't install as a plugin. My upgraded version also came with Clear AI as part of it. When I upgraded to DeNoise AI from ver 6 it auto installed as a plug-in in Photoshop CC 2020. I've raised the query with Topaz and I'll report back. The folder for Sharpen AI (which is only as yet in trlal so I'm not complaining about it) has the same contents plus an autoupdate app and an update.ini file. And yet, it runs beautifully as a standalone. The Logs folder contains only the plugins from Studio in 2017, nothing about the newer version 2.2.1. The Denoise folder contains the file components.ini, a folder titled Logs, an icon to link to the app itself and another icon to link to the uninstall app. The Topaz LLC folder contains 2 subfolders, Denoise AI and Sharpen AI. In photoshop point to the LLC folder and you should be able to see the plug-ins. The newer Topaz Labs plug-ins install in the Topaz labs LLC folder. PS It's so good I'm now trialling Sharpen AI and might buy that too. I want to use it as a plug in like my other older Topaz modules but can't see a file or where to place it. I have this upgrade and it's just great - as a standalone module in Photoshop on my mac running Mojave.
